About Ugartara

This website is a dedication—an offering of gratitude and remembrance.

It is devoted to my grandfather, Om Chhering Dorje, whose life quietly taught me resilience, compassion, and the dignity of walking one’s path with humility. His presence continues to guide me, not as memory alone, but as an inner compass—steady, patient, and deeply grounded. This work carries his spirit forward, honoring the way wisdom can be gentle yet unshakable.

It is also dedicated to Goddess Ugratara, the fierce and compassionate goddess—an embodiment of transformative power.
Ugratara is a form of Tara whose name means “the Swift and Fierce Liberator.” Unlike the softer depictions of Tara, Ugratara represents fearless compassion: the kind that cuts through ignorance, fear, and illusion without hesitation. She does not merely comfort—she awakens. Her fierceness is not anger, but clarity; not destruction, but liberation.

In Buddhist tradition, especially within Vajrayana practice, Ugratara holds immense importance. She symbolizes protection on the spiritual path, the courage to face inner darkness, and the wisdom to transform suffering into insight. Ugratara reminds us that awakening is not always gentle—it can be intense, disruptive, and profoundly honest. She stands for the truth that growth often requires confrontation, and freedom often demands bravery.

My work lives at the intersection of art, devotion, and a new way of seeing life. Through creation, I explore how tradition and modern experience can speak to one another. Art becomes a bridge—between the past and the present, the sacred and the personal, the seen and the felt. Each piece is an invitation to pause, to look again, and to question familiar narratives about identity, purpose, and existence.

This website is not just a showcase of work—it is a space for reflection. A place where ancestral wisdom, spiritual symbolism, and contemporary expression meet. Just as my grandfather’s life and Ugratara’s energy continue to shape my perspective, this work seeks to offer viewers a fresh lens: one that honors roots while daring to imagine new possibilities for how we live, create, and understand ourselves.

In dedicating this space to them, I acknowledge that art is never created alone—it is carried forward by lineage, belief, memory, and the courage to see the world differently.
